  • There are so many scholarship opportunities, the Guidance Department scarcely knows where to start in spreading the word. First off, have you picked up your copy of the Scholarship Scoop? If you haven’t, what on Earth are you waiting for? No one is going to come knocking on your door to get you to apply, you need to jump on these things NOW! Scholarships are the product of careful planning and some leg work, but they certainly pay off in the long run. Haul it on up to Room 222, (Mr. Gerold), Room 115 or go see Ms Bryant in Room 117 and get your copy.

There are three (3) NEW scholarships available. But you better hustle; they are due this Friday before Spring break. They are:

    • Zion United Methodist Church Scholarship,
    • the Tri Kappa Scholarship, and the
    • United Methodist Churches of Montgomery Co. Scholarship.

Again, you need to get your plan together and get this done.

These6 the scholarships have a due date of April 1st.  Since that is the week of spring week, they will be due this Friday, March 24th.

    • Baldwin Memorial
    • Scholarship, Eagles Scholarship,
    • I.A.F.F.,
    • Local 4143 Fallen Hero’s Scholarship,
    • Indiana Oil and Gas Association Scholarship,
    • Indiana Sheriff’s Association Scholarship
    • Sons of the Americana Legion John Also Memorial Scholarship.

This gives you plenty of time to get these 6 scholarships turned in on time.

Did you hear about Invested Indiana. Org? They are offering a drawing for $1000. All you have to do is go to the site and enter. The deadline is March 28th. Simple enough to do. Get on it!

Another item that bears repeating is Indiana is extending the state's college financial aid filing deadline. The deadline had been March 10th, but now it will be April 15th.

One last mention, the due date for the Rotary Scholarship has been extended to March 24, 2017.  Turn your app in to the Guidance Department.

Got questions? We have answers or can help you with your college quest. But we can't help you if you don't ask us. The Guidance Department stands ready and waiting to help!

  • Think you might have DETENTION? Well, there is one way to find out for sure; check the list on the Main Office Window. That will take the guess work right out of it. Remember - excuses like "I didnt know I had detention" are not going to get you out of it. Check the list, check it often. It's not worth the problems it's going to cause if you don't show up. Do the right thing.. check the list!
