Local resident runner, Brian McDonough, sought out to serve the schools of Montgomery County and help contribute to the schools’ lunch programs.
McDonough committed himself to running a 50k ultra-marathon as a fundraiser to support students of Montgomery County and ultimately fill the bellies of many local students.
His efforts raised $5,149.72 which provided each school corporation with a check of $1,716.57.
McDonough completed his long run in September and began the day at 4:30 a.m. on the day of his run.
