Nicholson Bike and Hike offers tons of activities
The annual Nicholson Bike and Hike took place on September 9th, bringing together over 250 people, including 67 Nicholson students, 31 Wabash athletes, and 18 Crawfordsville High School (CHS) student volunteers.

The event kicked off with a bike and hike parade down Main Street, where students and families were cheered on by local residents. The evening’s activities at Nicholson Elementary focused on promoting nutrition, active play, and family fun.
Upon arriving at Nicholson, a variety of interactive stations were available. Wabash Athletes volunteered to help make this night fun and memorable for our families. They provided guidance and excitement with football tosses, soccer shots, javelin throwing, exercise challenges, and an obstacle course. Students posed with “Milk Mustaches,” played Nutrition Bingo, and Beach Volleyball with our CHS National Honor Society and Art Honor Society. The CHS dance team brought dance moves for our families to learn and enjoy. We were honored to have guest appearances from Alexander the Athenian and Buttercup the Cow. The hit of the night was creating our fruit smoothies by riding the Rock the Bike Blender provided by the National Dairy Council. What a yummy addition along with snacks provided by Chartwells.
The Nicholson staff, Wabash College, CHS and our community came together to make this year another successful and enjoyable evening for our Nicholson families.
