The Crawfordsville Community School Corporation is committed to providing professional nursing care in our schools. Our nurses are all registered nurses, licensed by the state of Indiana and specializing in the care of children and adolescents. We strive to help children to reach their educational potential by working to keep students optimally healthy. We work to provide individual care for children with special health conditions, as well as to provide a safe, healthy learning environment for all students.
School nursing, a specialized practice of public health nursing, protects and promotes student health, facilitates normal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders that bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potentials.
