Next week Sept. 23-27 CHS will be celebrating College Go week. This is an initiative of Learn More
Indiana and is designed to promote a pro-college atmosphere. Each day on the announcements there
will be a " Tip of the Day" following by a question. The 1st class to call guidance with the correct answer will win a treat for the entire class! You have to be quick on this and your 2nd-period class can only win once. Also at the end of the day, there will be random drawings for small prizes. Wednesday will be " Show your College Colors Day", and students and faculty are asked to wear your college apparel. This week look for magazines from Learn More that has some great info about life after high school - some of the questions of the day could possibly come from these magazines. They will be available in English 9 & 10, US History and Govt/Econ classes.
Due to weather and Spirit Night, pre-season conditioning will be cancelled this week for wrestling. Official wrestling practice will begin Monday, January 6th at 4pm. Terrific job this fall, and have a great break. Go Athenians!
Please go through the lost and found this week and take home your belongings. They will be gone when we get back from break!
Round 3 ATB forms are due WEDNESDAY Dec. 18th. The forms incorrectly say Friday the 18th.
This is the last week to order your yearbook for $30. After Christmas break, the price will go up to $35.
7th/8th Ladies’ Basketball tryouts are Tuesday 12/17. Physicals are required to be on file before tryouts! 6th Grade tryouts will be after Winter Break.
Reminder for all students who have PE next semester: you must have a PE shirt. You can use your shirt from last year if you still have it, otherwise you must purchase one from Coons Trim. See the front office for info on how to order your shirt.
No clubs Wednesday, December 18!
Our lost & found is getting very full. If your child is missing any items, please encourage them to check the lost & found located just outside the cafeteria. We want to be sure we can reunite students with their lost items. If possible, please label all items with your student's name.
