Dear Families,

Welcome to Nicholson Elementary, home of the Knights! We are excited to have you with us. Our goal at Nicholson is to provide students with a comforting and safe learning environment. We have an exceptional staff that is student-focused. We hope to instill a love of learning and a feeling of community during your child’s time with us. Our teachers have high expectations of each student and encourage them to do their very best every day. 

Nicholson is a PBIS school. You will see our four common expectations on many items that are sent home. At Nicholson we want to make sure students are responsible, respectful, safe, and flexible in each area of the school. We want students to be a friend, be a leader, be a Knight! All staff hold students and each other accountable for these expectations. We are creating ways to recognize students who are being successful both academically and with their positive choices. We are excited to share those with you as the year goes progresses.

We believe that it is important to be a team with each child’s family. We encourage parents/guardians to volunteer in our classrooms and play an active role in their student’s learning. Communication plays a key role in building relationships and creating a strong support system for students. By working together, we can help each student reach their potential.

Please remember that our doors are always open. We welcome your input and suggestions to help make Nicholson Elementary the best it can be. Looking forward to all that we can accomplish together!
