Welcome to the cafeterias of Crawfordsville Community Schools. The food service staff is committed to providing a variety of nutritious, attractively prepared foods at affordable prices in a safe and sanitary work environment to all our students and staff.
Student nutrition is an important part of the educational process and hungry children cannot learn. It is the staff's pleasure to provide nutritious meals, lead by Diana Wilbert, Director of Dining Services. At least one or more professionals in each of the schools have successfully completed and passed the ServSafe Food Protection Exam.
Each of our schools offers a variety of menu choices for breakfast and lunch, as well as a la carte items in our intermediate and secondary schools. Our department also caters many special events for the district, prepares meals for athletic teams, provides snacks for faculty meetings and much more.

*Crawfordsville Schools runs a free, universal breakfast program that is at no cost to the students.
Reason for No Increase for 26-27
With the waiver that has been approved, the district will be able to keep our prices the same for the school year 2026-27.
Paid Lunch Equity (PLE) Waiver Approval
Per regular PLE requirements, SFAs would need to increase paid lunch prices each year or offset any difference with non-federal funds. However, USDA Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) recognizes that requiring SFAs to increase their paid meal prices during this transition year could burden families who have not paid for meals over the last two years.
For school year 26-27, SFAs with a positive or zero balance in the nonprofit school food service account as of June 30, 2025, SFAs are exempt from PLE pricing requirements found at 7 CFR 210.14(e).
An attestation needs to be completed verifying that SFAs nonprofit food service account was positive or zero balance as of June 30, 2025.
