Frequently Asked Questions - Willson Family Literacy Preschool Enrollment
What age is my child eligible for enrollment?
Children need to be 4 by September 1st, younger preschoolers may be considered if space is available and parents discuss the appropriateness of an early entry preschool placement with the lead teacher or principal.
Children must be potty trained, no pull ups!
How much does it cost to attend Willson?
$20 Registration fee is due at the time of enrollment
$40 supply fee due before school starts
$100 per Month Tuition, FREE for those who qualify
QUALIFY FOR FREE TUITION (CCSC District Only, proof of residency required)
- Student qualifies for free or reduced lunch
- Being raised by grandparents, teen parents, or currently has an incarcerated parent
- Foster child
- Homeless
- English language learner
If none of these apply to your child, tuition is $100 per month
If you live outside of Crawfordsville School District tuition is $100 per month
Do you provide transportation?
Bus service is provided by Crawfordsville Community Schools
Pick-up and drop-off must be within the Crawfordsville School District
Bus seats are equipped with 5 point harnesses
Preschoolers are transported on dedicated preschool busses
An adult must be present at the bus stop for pick-up and drop-off.
Are meals served at Willson?
Breakfast is FREE and provided for all AM preschoolers daily
Lunch is served daily for all PM preschoolers, school lunch fees apply unless you qualify for free/reduced lunch. Apply for free/reduced meals at: Family Portal.
Preschoolers may bring a healthy lunch/breakfast from home
What time are classes?
AM classes meet 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM
PM classes meet 11:20 AM to 1:50 PM
Willson does not provide before or after preschool care, but CCSC transportation is able to pick-up and drop-off at most local daycare providers located within the CCSC District.

Print out and complete the contact/enrollment form below, and mail or drop-off at the preschool office between 8:00-3:00 Monday-Friday every day that Crawfordsville Community Schools are in session. You may also email a scanned copy of this form to Willson Preschool at: hplunkett@cville.k12.in.us

An enrollment deposit of $20.00 per preschooler is required in order to reserve and hold your preschooler's place in the class for fall. Enrollment deposits can be paid at the school or by check to Willson Preschool, 500 E. Jefferson Street, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
Interested in Special Education Services?
If you or your doctor have concerns about your child's development in the areas of speech, language, motor skills, self-help/adaptive, social/emotional or cognitive skills you will be asked to provide information about your concerns. If there is evidence of delays, a team of professionals on staff will complete an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services. Eligibility for services is determined by a committee which includes parents and school personnel. Students who are eligible for services due to a specific disability may also be eligible for services from the Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist if delays in this areas impact educational performance. Students who are eligible for services will have an Individual Education Plan and receive services based upon their level of need. Some students receive outreach services within the community and some children are enrolled at Willson. Service delivery is determined during the case conference.
