Hoover School Recognized by Indiana Department of Education
Crawfordsville Community School Corporation is proud to announce that, once again, Mollie B. Hoover Elementary School has been named a Family Friendly School by the Indiana Department of Education for the 2022-23 school year. Hoover is one of just over 30 schools in the entire state to achieve this honor and recognition. Hoover received the recognition the first time in 2020.
"Hoover School is proud of its designation and to be recognized by the Indiana Department of Education for the steps we are taking to welcome families into our school. Hoover staff and parents working together are key to the success of our students," said Marci Galinowski, Hoover Principal.
According to the IDOE, the Family Friendly Schools designation focuses on addressing the academic, physical, emotional, and social needs of students, while providing the needed resources and fostering the active involvement of their families through schools and the community. The program recognizes and honors schools that welcome all families into the school community, communicate effectively, support student success, speak up for every child, share power and collaborate with the community.
