CHS Choirs Compete With Class

Early Saturday morning, students from the CHS Concert Choir and Dynamic Expressions (CHS’ show choir) arrived at the high school and drove to North Central High School for the North Central MIC Competition. Soloists Annie Wilson, Tori Abston, Madesyn Caldwell, and Reagan Minnette competed in the morning, with Reagan taking home second runner up. In the afternoon, Dynamic Expressions competed with the songs “Magic To Do,” “Razzle Dazzle,” “Magic,” “Defying Gravity” and “This is Me.” Being the only members of the festival class, Dynamic Expressions won Festival Class Grand Champion with Peyton Suiter taking home the best performer award.
Early in the evening, Concert Choir competed with the songs “Fire, Fire My Heart,” “Sing We and Chant It,” and “Fa Una Canzona.” All but “Fire, Fire My Heart” were sung a capella. Unfortunately, the group placed sixth in their category and were unable to make it to the finals. Both groups, along with CHS’ Elite choir, and middle school choirs performed their shows once again on Monday evening in the CHS auditorium.
