Downtown Party Night

Downtown Party Night

This weekend, on November 30th, businesses downtown will stay open until late at night. Downton will be filled with lights, the Joshua Cup will hand out free hot chocolate, the Vanity Theater will perform a show, and bunches of people will flood the streets of downtown Crawfordsville. What is this night? It is Downtown Party Night.

Downtown Party Night has been a tradition for many years in Crawfordsville. It gives people a chance to window shop for Christmas ideas, see the Christmas tree light up, hang out with friends you might not have seen for a while, and get into the Christmas spirit.

It will kick off a 6 p.m. with the lighting of the Christmas tree and will go on until all the shops are closed and/or all the people are gone. Some activities include pictures with Santa from 6 to 9 p.m. if you have a younger sibling or just want a picture yourself, Community Carolers at the courthouse, crafts for  kids on the third floor of Fusion 54 from 6-8 p.m., a Hoosier author fair on the first and second floors of Fusion 54 from 4 to 7 p.m., $5 tractor rides at Pike Place, and Holidays Around the World at Dance by Deborah, as well as many of the downtown shops which will be open later than their normal closing times. The Vanity Theater will have 15 minute performances every 15 minutes from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Downtown Party Night is a fun opportunity to kick off the Christmas season and have fun with family and friends. With fun activities, window shopping, and cool decorations, no one should miss out on this awesome Crawfordsville tradition.
